How to Calculate Drawer Width
Lay-on cabinets (18mm board)
Measure the internal width of your cabinet.
Deduct 12mm – this gives you your drawer box external width.
e.g. 500mm base cabinet.
Internal width of 464mm – 12mm = 452mm wide drawer box.
In-frame cabinets (based on 36mm face frame)
Measure internal width of face frame.
Deduct 12mm – this gives you your drawer box external width.
e.g. 500mm base cabinet.
500mm – 72mm – 12mm = 416mm wide drawer box.
